Statement of Faith
1. The Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God, the only infallible rule of faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21)
2. There is one God, eternal and co-existing in three persons (Father, Son and Holy Spirit), same in substance, equal in power and glory, who are to be equally loved, honored, and adored. (Deuteronomy 6:4; 1 John 5:7; Matthew 28:19)
3. There is only one mediator between God and man; that is the God/Man Christ Jesus. (2 Timothy 2:5) We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His personal return in power and glory. (John 1:3; Matthew 1:18, 23; Acts 20:28; Hebrews 9:22; Mark 16:10; 1 Peter 3:22)
4. Since the fall of Adam from his original sinless state, all mankind is lost in sin. (Romans 5:12; Romans 3:23)
5. The Sovereign God, for no other reason than His own unfathomable love and mercy, has chosen lost sinners from every nation to be redeemed by the quickening power of the Holy Spirit and through the atoning death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ, plus nothing, minus nothing. (Ephesians 1:4, 11; Hebrews 9:14, 28; Titus 3:5-6; Romans 3:22-26; Ephesians 2:8-9)
6. Justification is by faith alone and through it the undeserving sinner is clothed with the righteousness of Christ. (Romans 3:24-25; Romans 4:6-8; 2 Corinthians 5:19, 21; Romans 5:17-19; Galatians 2:16)
7. The goal of God’s salvation in the life of the Christian is holiness, good works, and service for the glory of God. (2 Peter 1:16; James 2:26)
8. At death, the Christian’s soul passes immediately into the presence of God. The unbeliever’s soul is eternally separated from God under condemnation. (2 Corinthians 5:1, 6, 8; Philippians 1:23; Luke 23:43)
9. We believe that for the salvation of a lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential, and that this salvation is received through faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and not as a result of good works. (Ephesians 2:1-10)
10. Jesus Christ will return to earth, visibly and bodily, at a time when He is not expected, to consummate history and the eternal plan of God. (1 Thessalonians 4; Matthew 24-25)
11. The Gospel of God’s salvation in Jesus Christ must be proclaimed to all the world as a witness before Jesus Christ returns. (Matthew 28:16-20)
12. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 15:5-9)
